What is powerful copy? Copy that packs a punch. Copy that does its job. COPY THAT CONVERTS.
We all want to have copy that converts…that is the elusive, magical, unicorn thing we are searching for, right? But I firmly believe that in order to get those conversions, your words need to be making an impact.
So, how do you ensure this? How do you make sure that your website copy (and even your social media content) is actually impactful, punchy, zingy, compelling…and all the other wish-list adjectives we’d like to give it?
1. You need to have one clear, distinct message. No wishy washy words! Having a strong brand message is how you can hope to brand yourself (and your business).
2. You need to speak to one person (your ideal client). If you try to speak to everyone, you’ll speak to no-one – and if you want to speak directly to this ideal client, you need to know who they are.
3. You need to NICHE DOWN and be proud of it. Know who you are, what you do and who you are for. “The riches are in the niches” – sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Well, that’s probably because it’s true – and especially from a copywriting and content creation perspective.
