Let’s talk about your social media marketing strategy.
Having a strategy behind any aspect of your marketing is vital.
And when it comes to your social media marketing? The first question you need to be asking yourself is: “what am I here to do?”
To me, the answer is simple:
You’re leveraging social media so you can build authority, position yourself as a thought leader, connect with your audience, and sell your services.
The great news is that coming up with a strategy that allows you to do all of these things is EASY.
All you have to know is what kind of content you need to be sharing.
I like to break it down into 3 categories:
This is content that serves to position you as an expert in your field, and as an authority in your industry. Think about ways you can make this “rich” content.
2. DIFFERENTIATING CONTENT
This is content that stands out and shows how you’re different. Lean into leveraging your core brand messaging aspects for this.
3. CONNECTION CONTENT
This is content where you’re showing the human behind your brand. Think about what specific connection points you can create between you and your ideal client.
You need to be sharing each of these categories of content (in whatever format you like best!) and here’s a surprise: You don’t have to have a separate “sell your services” category.
The goal is that when you’re working to a marketing strategy that’s centered around your intellectual property and your offers, you should be able to organically, and without any feelings of sleaze, ask for the sale in any of these categories of content.
