How do I get my words to sell? How do I write copy that converts? These are some of the basic struggles my clients have when they first come to me for help with their copywriting.
And these things – “getting your words to sell” – are the end goal; it’s the result.
But how you get to that place doesn’t just come down to the words you use, it also comes down to the actual copywriting techniques you employ.
Because, let’s face it: positioning yourself and your offering as THE top choice for your ideal clients is no easy feat.
Just think about how many others there are out there, who are in the same niche as you, who offer the same sort of services as you, who are doing all the same things you do…yep there’s a lot of them!
You need to have a voice that carries, a stall that draws attention, a presence that people can’t help but gravitate towards.
But once they get to you? What then?
This tends to be the point where a lot of my clients have gotten stuck. They show up on social media, they’ve built a following, they have ideal clients coming into their sphere on a daily basis…and yet – no new bookings, no new discovery calls, no new purchases.
How come?
Well, let me put it this way: if you manage to have a voice that carries, a stall that draws attention and a presence that people can’t help but gravitate towards…..and then when they get there, what you tell them has no real impact? They.will.leave.
Simple as that.
Without a good enough reason to buy, people will leave. They’ll go find someone else. And they probably won’t come back.
All of your showing up on Instagram, making freebies, sending out emails, spending money on ads, creating ‘new’ packages because the old ones didn’t sell…they won’t work if the copy isn’t doing its job. If you’ve not given your ideal client a good enough reason to buy.
One of the ways you can present your ideal client with a good enough reason to buy is to show them how your offering, how working with you, is going to change their lives.
