When it comes to writing your ‘About Me’ page, one of the most important things you’re going to want to include on it is your story – your backstory.
By using classic storytelling structures, you can create a meaningful emotional connection with your reader/website visitor/ideal client.
Classic storytelling structures requires the following 3 things:
that the story start with an event or a fact.
that there is then a transformation – the main character undergoes a change
If you share you backstory – how you ended up where you are now – you will able to write your ‘About Me’ page story so that people can see themselves in your struggle, relate to it, empathise with it and feel inspired by it.
You want to write it like a blend of you and them.
Once you can dig into your backstory, which will also help you give greater depth to your why, then you can present it to your ideal clients on your ‘About Me’ page and start building the connection and helping them get to know you.
