Those 3 little words…
You know – the ones that mean everything. The ones that underpin everything in your relationship…..with your ideal clients
Wait, what?!
Yes, I’m talking about your relationship with your IDEAL CLIENTS.
Because make no mistake: you need to cultivate actual, meaningful relationships with your ideal clients if you ever want them to become ACTUAL clients.
And how you do that? By focusing on those 3 little words.
Know, Like & Trust.
Your potential clients need to feel as if they know you so that they can start to like you so that they can start to trust you.
This is even backed by science: feelings of trust come from our limbic brain. This is the part of our brain that drives us away from pain and risk towards success and survival.
So, if you can get your ideal clients to trust you, they’ll be more likely to look at you as THE person to help them get away from the pain + risk.
1. Use conversational copywriting – copy that sounds as if you are talking directly to + having a conversation with one person
2. Make sure your copy is ideal-client focused – if you can speak their language and talk to their pain points? Best friends for life territory.
3. Give them lots of free valuable content (this blog post? Free valuable content for you. My podcast episode? More free valuable content for you!) – this will show them that you care enough about them and their journey to give them some tips for free AND it will go a long way to establishing your authority and credibility in what you do.
