Here’s a BIG problem that you want to try to avoid at all costs: boring, beige and generic copy that doesn’t make an impact.
Whether it’s on your website pages, your social media, your emails, or in your sales funnel for your next big launch – if your copy is forgettable, you can kiss conversions goodbye.
The reason this is such a problem is because if you show up with stale messaging, your carefully crafted copy won’t have the desired effect, which, we all know, is to draw in your dreamy ideal clients and convert them into actual clients, right?
And if that starts (or continues to happen if this is where you’re currently at) then your ability to bring in new clients, make more sales and grow as a business is going to be severely limited.
And we don’t want that.
That’s why you need to pay attention to your copy – because this is what gets you those clients, that revenue and enables the growth.
Because without it? Stale city. Beige. Just think of anyone you’ve ever met who just didn’t really have any kind of personality…..and if you can’t think of anyone, it’s because they were forgettable.
And we definitely don’t want that for YOUR copy and your online presence. Agreed?!
So, how can you add personality to your copy as liberally as you would add hot sauce to your fried chicken?!
First of all: you need to define your brand personality. We’ve all heard the idea that ‘your vibe attracts your tribe’ before – and this can also explain why having a honed brand personality is so important, because your copy can work to attract your dream ideal clients, but you also want it to repel your non-ideal clients.
Your brand personality = the set of human characteristics associated with your brand. It comes from how you want to be perceived and it helps you be memorable and recognisable. It’s what stands you out online and in your niche.
But most importantly: it adds flavour to your copy.
